NDC Seminar Series 6

News

Our internal NDC Seminar Series 6 took place on 12th January 2022.

Dr Rodrigo Martinez (Research Fellow, NDC, School of Engineering) presented his work on the Supergen project determining cost effective methods of installing offshore wind infrastructure.  Rodrigo is supervised by Dr Marcin Kapitaniak, NDC, School of Engineering.

Abraham Mensah (PhD Student, School of Engineering) covered his research on the performance of pipelines under spatially varying interacting corrosion defects.  Abraham is supervised by Dr Srinivas Sriramula, School of Engineering.

Jessica Gomez-Banderas (PhD Student, NDC and School of Natural and Computing Sciences, Chemistry) updated on her research looking at discovering natural product antifouling compounds to prevent marine biofouling of immersed structures.   Jessica is supervised by Prof. Marcel Jaspars, School of Natural and Computing Sciences and Prof. Frithjof Kuepper, School of Biological Sciences.
