The NDC, in collaboration with industry, is offering four fully funded PhD studentships focused on advancing knowledge and understanding of aspects of subsea infrastructure decommissioning.
Available Projects:
- Ecology of Subsea Infrastructure
- Experimental and modelling approaches for corrosion product dispersal in marine environments
- Lifecycle analysis for pipeline decommissioning
- Longevity and fate of pipeline polymer coatings
Successful candidates will join a vibrant multidisciplinary team at the NDC, University of Aberdeen working alongside a cohort of PhD students, postdoctoral researchers, world leading academics and industry experts.
This is an exciting opportunity for graduates in engineering, marine biology, environmental science, materials science and related fields who want to undertake impactful research and contribute to the future of sustainable offshore energy and decommissioning.
