The NDC was pleased to host colleagues and partners for the 17th session in its ongoing Seminar Series, featuring 3 outstanding presentations from 1st year PhD students.
Featuring talks across engineering and marine ecology from Hongyuan He, Megan Squire and Dung Tuan Pham the session provided an excellent platform for early-stage researchers to share their work, gather feedback, and engage in valuable discussions with the wider NDC community.
- Hongyuan He (NDC & School of Engineering)
Title: Degradation of Polymer Coatings on Buried Pipelines - Megan Squire (NDC & School of Biological Sciences)
Title: Incorporating Ecological Modelling into 3D Simulation of Marine Growth on Human-Made Structures - Dung Tuan Pham (NDC & School of Engineering)
Title: Interaction between Floating Offshore Wind Turbines and Fishing Activities
Thanks to everyone who joined the session and contributed to Q&As, providing valuable knowledge and ideas to help the students formulate the next steps in their projects. Thanks also to Research Fellow Sam Cauvin for moderating the Q&As and discussion.
The next seminar will be held in September.
